Meet Our Dentists
Dr. John Altomare, DMD
Dr. Altomare graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and has been practicing dentistry in Winter Park since 1990. (He will tell you it has been approximately 100 years.) He is a father of four and spent years coaching local youth football and baseball, which means he now treats the kids of kids he once coached.

He has performed just about every procedure we offer and still enjoys the work, but he does not chase gadgets. If a new technology does not meet his standard for quality, we do not bring it in just to say we have it. And yes, he does stand-up comedy, so expect at least one joke per visit.
Dr. Christian Concepcion Diaz, DMD
Dr. Concepcion Diaz grew up in Cuba and earned his first dental degree there in 2020. After COVID, he moved to the United States and completed dental school again in New Jersey, graduating in May 2026. His mom is a nurse, so caring for people runs in the family. He sees patients in both English and Spanish.

He focuses on general and restorative dentistry, extractions, root canals, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry. What drew him to Smile Center of Orlando was simple: “A lot of people have been working here for a very long time, and that says a lot.”

Our philosophy is to refer out as little as possible. Once you are a patient here, we want to handle your full treatment in the office you already know. That includes:
