Dental implant surgery is a relatively simple procedure that can be performed in our office under local anesthesia. First, the implant site is prepared by making small incisions in the gum tissue and placing titanium screws into your jawbone to serve as the roots of your new teeth. Once the implants have bonded with your bone, the surgeon will place abutments on top of the implants. These metal posts will provide support for your new artificial teeth. Finally, the dentist will create custom-made replacement teeth and attach them to the abutments. Once the surgery is complete, you can enjoy your new smile for many years.
